 TRIBAL PEOPLE OF NORTHEAST INDIA

         Many Tribal people can be found in Northeast India.16 main Tribes and many sub tribes in Arunachal Pradesh, 29 Tribes in Assam, 6 Tribes in Meghalaya,  17 Tribes in Nagaland, 34 Tribes in Manipur, and 19 Tribes in Tripura.

Most of the Tribal people in Northeast India are Non vegetarian. Pork is the most common non vegetarian food in Northeast India. Vegetarian food that Northeast people preferred  to eat is the green leafy vegetables. Which they cooked in unique way. 

Clothes they wore are very unique. Due to many tribes here they  have a distinct pattern of clothing. Which are made by them-self in their traditional way. They use silk to make their cloth. the most interesting thing is that the silk is made by their own  using silkworm. The machine that is used while preparing cloths is made of woods and bamboos.

Lots of Festival are held here.The Famous festival are Hornbill Festival held in Nagaland, and Ziro Music Festival in Arunachal Pradesh. They also have their on tribe festival.
